Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

01

Choose the correct return pathway

SITUATION AVAILABLE OUTCOME COST RESPONSIBILITY
Change of mind An approved return requested within 30 calendar days after delivery, subject to the condition requirements below. Customer pays return shipping. Original delivery charges and applicable deductions are not refundable.
Incorrect version selected Compatibility exchange or approved return after technical assessment. If the customer selected the incorrect version, change-of-mind costs apply. If CrownFocus supplied a version inconsistent with our written confirmation, CrownFocus covers reasonable exchange shipping.
Minor product failure Diagnosis followed by repair, replacement part or replacement product within a reasonable time. CrownFocus covers reasonable remedy and shipping costs where required by law.
Major product failure The customer may choose a replacement or refund, together with any other remedy required by law. No restocking or payment-processing deduction is applied to a refund required under the Australian Consumer Law.
02

Change-of-mind return conditions

Australian Consumer Law does not generally require a business to accept a return where the customer simply changes their mind. CrownFocus may approve a change-of-mind return when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The return is requested within 30 calendar days after confirmed delivery.
  • Every module, cable, accessory, manual and supplied item is returned.
  • The product has not been modified, damaged, cut, incorrectly wired or exposed to liquid, impact or misuse.
  • A return authorisation has been issued by CrownFocus before the parcel is sent.
Applicable deductions for approved non-fault returns

Unopened or uninstalled products may incur a 3%–5% deduction. Opened or installed products may incur a 5%–10% deduction, depending on condition, completeness, testing required, loss in resale value and any payment-provider cost that is not returned to CrownFocus.

Restocking, administration and non-refundable payment-provider costs are combined into one total deduction and are not charged twice. The total deduction will generally not exceed 10% of the product price. Original delivery charges remain separate. We will confirm the proposed deduction in writing before processing the refund.

A change-of-mind return may be declined if the product is returned outside the stated period, is incomplete, has been materially damaged, or cannot reasonably be resold. This does not affect rights relating to a product failure or other consumer guarantee.

03

Product assessment and warranty support

Vehicle integration systems interact with factory head units, amplifiers, screens, connectors, software and mobile devices. A reported symptom does not always identify which component caused it. CrownFocus may therefore require reasonable diagnostic steps before confirming a remedy.

Covered by our 12-month warranty

The voluntary warranty runs for 12 months from confirmed delivery and covers manufacturing defects in CrownFocus-supplied modules, harnesses and accessories, subject to inspection and these terms. We may repair the product, replace the affected part or replace the product as appropriate.

Items requiring separate assessment

Installation damage, cut or modified wiring, misuse, liquid or impact damage, unauthorised repair, third-party components, mobile-phone settings, and faults or deterioration in original vehicle equipment.

Meaning of lifetime remote support

Lifetime remote support means reasonable email or video-based installation and product-use troubleshooting for the original purchaser during the product's service life. It does not include on-site labour, installer charges, replacement parts, freight, vehicle repair, or support for unrelated third-party equipment.

For a confirmed valid warranty or Australian Consumer Law claim, CrownFocus will bear the reasonable cost of the applicable remedy and shipping. Please obtain approval before incurring return expenses. If CrownFocus asks you to pay an approved return cost, retain the receipt so that reimbursement can be arranged. Warranty exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not remove any non-excludable consumer rights.

04

How to request a return or remedy

STEP 1
Contact support

Provide your order number, vehicle model and year, and a clear description of the request.

STEP 2
Complete assessment

For technical concerns, send the requested photos or video and complete reasonable diagnostic checks.

STEP 3
Receive authorisation

We will confirm the return address, packing instructions and the applicable return pathway in writing.

STEP 4
Inspection and outcome

We normally inspect returned goods within two business days after they arrive and then confirm the outcome.

05

Refunds and shipping

Refund method
Refunds are normally issued to the original payment method. An alternative method or store credit may be used only where agreed with the customer and permitted by law.
Processing time
After approval, CrownFocus generally submits the refund within two business days. The time taken for funds to appear is controlled by the bank or payment provider and commonly takes a further 3–10 business days.
Change of mind
The customer is responsible for safe return shipping, tracking and transit risk until the parcel is delivered to the nominated return address.
Product failure
Where required under the Australian Consumer Law, CrownFocus will cover reasonable return or remedy-related shipping costs. Please obtain authorisation before arranging freight.
