Refund policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This policy applies to products purchased directly from CrownFocus, operated by JDMFOCUSTECH PTY. LTD. It explains our change-of-mind returns, compatibility exchanges, warranty support and refunds. It does not exclude any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Change-of-mind returns
Australian Consumer Law does not generally require a business to accept a return because a customer changed their mind. CrownFocus may approve a change-of-mind return if it is requested within 30 calendar days after confirmed delivery and:
- every module, cable, accessory, manual and supplied item is returned;
- the product has not been modified, damaged, cut, incorrectly wired, or exposed to liquid, impact or misuse;
- the customer obtains return authorisation before sending the parcel; and
- the product is returned safely to the nominated return address.
The customer is responsible for change-of-mind return shipping, tracking and transit risk until delivery to CrownFocus. Original delivery charges are not refundable.
Non-fault return deductions
Unopened or uninstalled products may incur a 3%–5% deduction. Opened or installed products may incur a 5%–10% deduction, depending on condition, completeness, testing required, loss in resale value and any payment-provider cost that is not returned to CrownFocus.
Restocking, administration and non-refundable payment-provider costs are combined into one total deduction and are not charged twice. The total deduction will generally not exceed 10% of the product price. CrownFocus will confirm the proposed deduction in writing before processing the refund.
A change-of-mind return may be declined if it is outside the stated period, incomplete, materially damaged, modified, or cannot reasonably be resold. Custom or special-order items, gift cards, and items stated to be final sale are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless CrownFocus agrees otherwise. These exclusions do not affect remedies available for a product failure or another breach of a consumer guarantee.
Compatibility and incorrect versions
If the customer selected an incorrect product version, any approved exchange or return is treated as a change-of-mind return. The customer is responsible for the applicable return and reshipping costs.
If CrownFocus supplied a version inconsistent with our written compatibility confirmation, CrownFocus will arrange the appropriate exchange and cover reasonable exchange shipping costs.
Faults, damage and technical assessment
Please inspect the order after delivery and contact us promptly if an item is damaged, incorrect or appears faulty. Vehicle integration systems interact with factory head units, amplifiers, screens, connectors, software and mobile devices, so CrownFocus may request reasonable photos, video or diagnostic steps before confirming the cause and appropriate remedy.
For a minor product failure, CrownFocus may provide a repair, replacement part or replacement product within a reasonable time. For a major product failure, the customer may choose a replacement or refund together with any other remedy required by law. No restocking or payment-processing deduction is applied to a refund required under the Australian Consumer Law.
CrownFocus 12-month voluntary warranty
Our voluntary product warranty runs for 12 months from confirmed delivery and covers manufacturing defects in CrownFocus-supplied modules, harnesses and accessories, subject to assessment. CrownFocus may repair the product, replace the affected part or replace the product as appropriate.
Installation damage, cut or modified wiring, misuse, liquid or impact damage, unauthorised repair, third-party components, mobile-phone settings, and faults or deterioration in original vehicle equipment require separate assessment and are not manufacturing defects in CrownFocus products.
For a confirmed valid warranty or Australian Consumer Law claim, CrownFocus will bear the reasonable cost of the applicable remedy and shipping. Please obtain approval before incurring return expenses. If CrownFocus asks you to pay an approved return cost, retain the receipt so that reimbursement can be arranged.
Warranty exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law. The benefits of this voluntary warranty are in addition to all other rights and remedies available under applicable law.
Lifetime remote support
Lifetime remote support means reasonable email or video-based installation and product-use troubleshooting for the original purchaser during the product's service life. It does not include on-site labour, installer charges, replacement parts, freight, vehicle repair, or support for unrelated third-party equipment.
How to request a return or remedy
- Email crownfocusjdm@gmail.com with the order number, vehicle model and year, and a clear description of the request.
- For a technical concern, provide the reasonably requested photos or video and complete relevant diagnostic checks.
- Wait for written return authorisation, return address and packing instructions before sending the product.
- Return every supplied component using tracked and suitably protected shipping.
CrownFocus normally inspects returned goods within two business days after they arrive and then confirms the outcome.
Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally issued to the original payment method. An alternative method or store credit may be used only where agreed with the customer and permitted by law.
CrownFocus generally submits an approved refund within two business days. Banks and payment providers control the time taken for funds to appear, which commonly takes a further 3–10 business days.
International customers
Customers outside Australia retain any mandatory rights that apply in their jurisdiction. For goods delivered into the European Union, statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights may apply independently of this policy, including a right to cancel within 14 days in qualifying circumstances. Any mandatory local right prevails to the extent of an inconsistency with this policy.
